Maylani's Sealing

Here's the ladies on the way to the temple. Coming out of the temple after the sealing. This is Salley Lee our adoption agent. Maylani has loved being around her since the beginning. We will forever be greatful for her and the hand she had in bringing Maylani to our family. In the 26 years Sally has worked for LDS Family Services, our case was the fastest she has ever placed a baby, 3 weeks. She busted her tail for us. Thank you Sally! Here's the whole group at the luncheon. We were on the temple grounds in the fale. Also are some pics of a couple of our good friends that were able to make it. This is one of my best friends Jenn Inouye and her mom Annie Erbe. I consider them family. Jenn is definitly one of my sisters. Annie is amazing. We had asked her to give Maylani her name, Leialoha. So this is Maylani's Hawaiian grandma and auntie. For those who are not familiar with the island traditions, everyone is ohana (family) and everyone is auntie and uncle. Jenna and Maylani have many here. Tom and Jenn Inouye There are very few people that Maylani will go to besides me. And very special guys in her life. Aside from papa, Maylani loves to go to her uncle Tom. She lights up everytime she sees him. Fiztgerald Family: Leslie and Jimmy with Carly and baby Taylor. Kip really loves to get in trouble with Jimmy. We love hanging out with these guys. Some of Jenna's little friends: Carly and Lulu (my hawaiian Bella) More friends: Lulu Richter again and Halle Inouye. The Richter's: Phillip and Brianne. Maylani also loves going to Uncle Phillip. We also enjoy hanging out with these guys. Brianne is also like another sister. I have many awsome friends here I consider sisters.

Memories for a llifetime....

We had such an amazing weekend. As we were on our way to Laie, about 45 minutes from where we live, we ran into a major road block. There had been a car accident on this little two lane road boardering the ocean and not a single car was moving. We sat for a few minutes and noticed that cars were turning around and going back the way we came. We though oh great. We had 30 minutes to get to the temple for the schedule sealing and still a thirty minute drive to go to reach our destination. If we turned around, the only other way to get there would be to go up the H3 to the H2 past to the other side of the island, past north shore. That would take at least an hour to drive. We were panicking. On top of it all, we had not signal to call the temple and let them know that situation. I was silently praying when we noticed the cars that were turning around were going on a detour through a ranch not too far from us. So needless to say, with a little four-wheeling detour, we were able to make it on time to get dressed and to our sealing. The ladies did awsome. Jenna was able to be in the sealing room with us to witness this awsome event. She did so well. Both of the girls look like angels! We had several ward member attend and several good friends. We are so blessed. We have the most awsome ward here! We will be sad to leave them when the time comes. Proceeding our sealing, our family in our ward provided a luncheon in the fale. Today we blessed Maylani in church. I am so glad that we are finally able to have her blessed and sealed to us for all eternity. Wellm that is it for now. I will post the pics from the temple later on.

Maylani

It has been a year since our family was greatly blessed with the selfless gift of a baby girl. She has been such a joy and has made our family complete in more ways than one. Our little princess turned one on the 9th. And we will soon be celebrating the joy of having her sealed to us for all eternity at the end of this month. We cannot imagine our lives without this precious little girl. We did a small family part at home for Maylani. She will have a big celebration/Baby's first luau after the sealing. She wasn't too sure at first what to do with the cake, we had to help her out. Overall, she enjoyed it.

Happy 4th of July!!!

For the 4th we wanted to keep it quiet since this was Maylani's first experience with fireworks, we didn't want to scare her too much. We went to a park down the street from our house and some off that we picked up from Walmart. Yes, firework are legal here. =)

Happy Birthday Jenna!

For Jenna's birthday part this year we let her have a small slumber party a couple days before her actual birthdy. She had a blast and now wants her friends to come over everyday to sleep over. On her birthday, we took her out to her choice of resturant. She chose Ferrel's Icecream parlor. Birthday girl got a special balloon and..... ...of course the birthday girl got her favortie, icecream! Maylani got a kick out of taking Jenna's balloon.

Bedtime for Jenna!

Kip and I both decided to let Jenna stay up late with him watching a movie. Kip left to take a quick shower and found Jenna asleep on the couch in his shirt. She must gotten cold and decided to use his shirt as a sleeper. We laughed for quite some time.

Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay

It has been awhile since I have been able to post, my computer has been acting up. We took Jenna snorkeling for the first time. I was amozed on how fast she caught on and how well she did. She loves being in the water just like her dad. Maylani and I had a good time hanging out on the shore exploring the beach.
